A Penis is The primary sexual organ that male and hermaphrodite animals used to Inseminate sexually receptive males during mating.


Penis has three part...

  • Roots: Its also called crura. These begins at the caudal border of the pelvic ischial arch. Anterior three-forths the corpora cavernosa penis lie in intimate apposition with one another, but behind they diverage in the form of 2 tapering process, known as crura, which are connected to the ischial rumi.
  • Body: The part of the penis extending from the root to the ends of the corpora cavernosa penis, & in it thesecorpora cavernosa are intimately bound to one to another. There is a "S" shaped curved flexure called sigmoid flexure present in hoofed animal including bovine, Goat..
  • Glans Penis:   Its the last free end of the penis. there open the urethra at the urethral process. Its a sensetive bulbous structure at the distal end of the penis.The glans is anatomically homologous to the clitoral glans of the female. The glans is covered completelly or partly bo foreskin, prepuce. Anatomically the glans is the expended cap of the spongiosum muscle.At the summit of the glans  is slit like vertical uretral orifice.
