Sleep Disorder Snorting Disease

Snoring disease/ Nasal granuloma/ Nasal Schistosomiasis ( S. nasalis infection )
The eggs in the nasal mucosa cause irritation, marked rhinitis with a mucopurulent discharge which is manifested clinically by signs of coryza, sneezing, dyspnea and snoring. Adult parasites cause dilation and thrombosis of the veins. In the nasal mucosa there is granulomatous and small abscess containing eggs. Chronically there is fibers tissue formation and proliferation of nasal epithelium which may cause the nasal passage. The infection is confirmed by the pressure of spindle shaped eggs in the nasal       discharge.
